At the top, I will have tabs for the different items I make. I have downloaded some of the designs, but I still need to add the others, I need about 4 more pages & more pictures.
I will try to get the other ones uploaded this week. Hope you enjoy.
Please let me know if you are interested in anything.Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09406245260599978396noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4603002548611171773.post-76100021768474429632015-03-04T23:50:00.001-06:002015-03-04T23:50:42.204-06:00Time to returnAfter looking at the date on my last post it has been a LONG time since I have posted. Things happen and changes are made. Since my last post a lot of things have changed. My son is away in the Navy stationed in Washington state on the USS Nimitz, my daughter got married and I got another granddaughter with the marriage, they have moved further away.....ugh...so I don't see the girls that much. My middle son is who knows where - he works for an oil company and travels to where ever they are drilling, usually in west TX.
We now have an "empty nest" which is still an adjustment. We are going to make one of the extra bedrooms into my craft room....I can't wait. This is one of the reasons I needed to start back on my blog. I have been making lots of burp rags, blankets, aprons and other items. I need to post pictures of everything so I can share what I make. This should make it easier for me and the people that want to place orders. I will also post some of the pictures on Pinterest.

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">Sorry, I haven't been posting anything lately, unfortunately I have a case of the "summer cold" and I'm so tired of coughing. I have so many projects to get done, but by the time I get home I just don't have the energy to do anything. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I just have to let everyone know that I was featured on Whimsy Wednesday from last weeks project on my <a href="http://underthecraftzone.blogspot.com/2012/06/baseball-wreath.html" target="_blank">Baseball Wreath</a>. I'm so thrilled :) If you have time hop over to <a href="http://www.thenymelrosefamily.blogspot.com/2012/06/whimsy-wednesdays-15.html" target="_blank">The NY Melrose Family</a>, Jenny has a great blog. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I hope everyone has a great week, my fingers are still crossed that I will get some projects done this weekend. My daughter thought I was crazy when I showed her my list on my NOOK, her response was "Really Mom, you have your list on your NOOK?" What could I say, I usually have it with me and when I think of something, I can just write it down. It sounds perfectly fine to me. :)</span></div>

<div align="justify">
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: small;">Ok, so I have been gone for awhile – sorry. I just had too many things going on in the month of May. Between getting everything ready for the end of the school year and the beginning of early cheer/football registration – it was just crazy.</span></div>
<div align="justify">
<br /></div>
<div align="justify">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: small;">I have a lot of ideas for crafts, I just need to sit down and get them done. I REALLY need to get Pops to help me get my craft room finished. But he thinks he needs to work on his car, I swear where is his responsibility, LOL, I guess I will give him a break. But I have started my “before” pictures of the room, so you can bet that will be posted before long.</span></div>
<div align="justify">
<br /></div>
<div align="justify">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: small;">Anyway – this being the Baseball season and since we live not 10 min from The Ballpark in Arlington – I just had to make this wreath. I got the idea from <a href="http://pinterest-project.blogspot.com/2012/04/swing-batter-batter.html" target="_blank">The Pintrest Project</a>, my obsession. I just can’t seem to get off that site…..</span></div>
<br />
<div align="justify">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: small;">Here’s what I did – I was lucky enough to get some used baseballs from my sons best friend (he is a pitcher) so I didn’t have to buy any <img alt="Smile" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-ZE5li8XRRxo/T81qtkL0rVI/AAAAAAAAAfE/knzW7Pthg1w/wlEmoticon-smile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-top-style: none;" />, then I had Pops drill holes in each end going through. He did drill from each end. I took a hanger and opened it up and bent out the curves.</span></div>
<a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-W-g_hj30kdI/T81qt0esPOI/AAAAAAAAAfM/OVG-x-K5xpo/s1600-h/Ranger%252520Wreath1%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Ranger Wreath1" border="0" height="404" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2npJovdM4HKSFfPc4LhQnM4v8DxY2bjHb4xNkPAGHuwUd3Y3O1dCB2aXzxgmhC7PJ7dtjobxGq_QEs8Hdh2eBIb4qzyA3heEOb0_szVgzcQhtczSWGXDPvNzhPva_Ed2x5OIC8raTOYQ/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Ranger Wreath1" width="458" /></a><br />
<div align="justify">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: small;">Of course I had to get blue & red tulle for their colors. I cut about 10” pieces of each color and folded in half. Then I fan folded them together and wrapped a piece of floral wire around each set.</span></div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEho9PKGm8q7evV4jvHvXRh5pjPUPNIQn22X9JyfiS3mwnbv8Nw42dujLXIwULRfFaF2wsJrxzN9kReoZKmAxbrE8mbhjcKdIDI4l0QerKn1MnOHXP4vnDaMo7QWQltPrj4w28hGPWBshEc/s1600-h/Ranger%252520Wreath2%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Ranger Wreath2" border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3MqtL7IsFHWDushumgFzqW31QaWImd4_MPROaU_Y2M1FeKlayXbgmdwwKrFv1rONo6VvOIqNH5WOKpskWEnzpvQ2ud80tBVKaq6A0vKmRBybLgamthPWGkrtMm-GI-FS2K8ue9qCMwf8/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Ranger Wreath2" width="458" /></a><br />

<br />
<a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-bU3Ml_lpTlI/T81qxI0f7II/AAAAAAAAAf8/Ee5EoGeuJ_o/s1600-h/Ranger%252520Wreath4%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Ranger Wreath4" border="0" height="381" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-iV2HjPqaoIY/T81qxpZ-SHI/AAAAAAAAAgE/i32EHcdeWjA/Ranger%252520Wreath4_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Ranger Wreath4" width="467" /></a><br />
<div align="justify">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: small;">I figured out how many “sets” of tulle I needed then twisted the wire onto the hanger between the baseballs. Since I had doubled the pieces, I separated the layers for a fuller effect. As you can see these balls have been used, but I think that gives this a more natural look. I will say that using real baseballs does weigh down this wreath, so be prepared. I think on the example, they may have used the “beanbag” baseballs, which would not be as heavy.</span></div>
<br />
<div align="justify">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: small;">I took Pops Ranger hat and ran the wire through the holes in the cap, then twisted onto the wire and made a bow for the top.</span></div>
<br />
<div align="justify">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: small;">We had a ceramic sun hanging by the front door, so there was already a screw in the bricks. I unscrewed a bit, put the hanger behind the screw and then screwed down to hold the wreath. Since it is heavy, it hangs more like an oval than a circle.</span></div>
<br />
<div align="justify">
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: small;">I think it turned out pretty good, but now I have to buy Pops a new hat!!!! Oh well, it will be worth it. Now for the Rangers to go back to the World Series this year <img alt="Smile" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-ZE5li8XRRxo/T81qtkL0rVI/AAAAAAAAAfE/knzW7Pthg1w/wlEmoticon-smile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-top-style: none;" /></span></div>

<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: small;">The only thing I had to buy for this wreath is the Tulle, which I got on sale @ Hobby Lobby. I spent $5.00 for this wreath – I can’t beat that price. Hope you liked my wreath – who is your favorite team?</span><br />

Whenever there is a Holiday, I will usually ask my kids what they want me to cook. They all have their favorite. Well for Easter, Toni (my daughter) wanted Brisket. I’ve been making this for as long as I can remember. I got this recipe from my mom, who I think got from my grandmother, who I think got from my aunt. Anyhow, it has been around our family for awhile. This difference about this Brisket is that you cook it in the oven. I thought I would pass along my recipe for you.</span></div>

</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-pWmunrk0To8/T44aS_Ty2bI/AAAAAAAAAdA/2q6WH2c-NHw/s1600-h/r%252520purse3%25255B8%25255D.jpg"><img alt="r purse3" border="0" height="342" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-19N6J8aKPc4/T44aT1GiLFI/AAAAAAAAAdE/CEW_4pP47sw/r%252520purse3_thumb%25255B6%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-color: initial; border-bottom-style: initial; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-color: initial; border-left-style: initial; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-color: initial; border-right-style: initial; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-color: initial; border-top-style: initial; border-top-width: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px; text-align: justify;" title="r purse3" width="413" /></a></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Tahoma;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;">I didn’t have a pattern, so I just made it up as I went. I had this pink furry material from a blanket I had made for her when she was born. Then I found a font and printed up a lower case R. The upper case would have been to big. I then took the letter, held it up to the window (backwards) and traced it onto some heat/bond. Ironed it onto my material then cut it out.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></div><span style="font-family: Tahoma;"></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;">I used the width of the handles to determine the purse size. I cut it out with an A angle (larger at bottom than top), I found the center of one side and put on my applique. (This was my first time to do an applique without my embroidery machine so it didn’t turn out as pretty) Once I was done with the applique I put the right sides together then sewed up the sides. I didn’t go up all the way to the top so that there would be room to open it. Then I wrapped the top around the handles and sewed them down. I think if I do this again, I would sew the top on the handles first, then sew the sides. I had to really take my time sewing the top. Another opps I made was to make sure the handle backs would be together (flat sides) lucky for me, she is only 2 and doesn’t know the difference.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;">She was so happy when she saw it, she said “My Purse”, she couldn’t wait to put her lipstick (chapstick) in there to carry around. She looked so cute.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;"><br />
</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;">I’m sure I will probably make some more and I will line them, but for now this was perfect. And I only spent $1.97 for the handles, I had everything else – can’t beat that.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;"><br />

<div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;">The other day my son’s best friend asked me about these pillows. He said "Did you just buy these?” I said “No, I made them”. He couldn’t believe it, he said he wouldn’t have ever known. That made me feel so good! <img alt="Smile" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-1rA3r-4pLKs/T4OouBrWJbI/AAAAAAAAAcA/Sw35p4Gg5gI/wlEmoticon-smile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-top-style: none;" /> I mean there aren’t that many HS boys that would even notice pillows on your couch.</span></div><div align="justify"><br />
</div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;">I made these about 2 months before I started my blog so there aren’t any pictures, but it was so easy. I found this decorator fabric in the remnant section @ JoAnn’s and it was 50% off = $6.00. The pillow forms were also on 50% off = $4.00/each x 3. </span></div><div align="justify"><br />
</div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;">I folded up the bottom, then sewed up the sides and half of the top then stuffed in the forms. To give them a “finished” look, I then sewed an edge around all sides. This was a little difficult because of the pillow form, but I just took my time. This way I was able to sew up the top closure and wouldn’t be able to see exactly where it was. 1 hour later I had 3 new pillows for my couch.</span></div><div align="justify"><br />
</div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;">I got some more fabric with a “lighter” look for the summer months, just waiting for the pillow forms to go on sale again to make some more. Then I can change them out for spring/summer & fall/winter. I just might have to make some just for Christmas….mmmmm sounds like a good thought, LOL</span></div><div align="justify"><br />
</div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: medium;">I just can’t seem to go into a fabric store without looking at their remnant section especially if they are also on sale!</span></div><div align="justify"><br />

</div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; font-size: medium;">My son needed some extra credit in his Chemistry class. In order to get this, the project from his teacher was to make a “Mole”. Not only to make the Mole, but to give it a personality. Since he is a drummer, we decided to go with the Rock-N-Mole theme.</span></div><div align="justify"><br />
</div><div align="justify"><br />
</div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; font-size: medium;">I took the pattern from the teachers’ webpage & enlarged it so we could actually “play” with the mole. </span></div><div align="justify"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-DtS-RSMB8fc/T4Od1Cn8NUI/AAAAAAAAAaM/gKoFw9Dztms/s1600-h/RockMole2%25255B2%25255D.jpg"></a><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-DtS-RSMB8fc/T4Od1Cn8NUI/AAAAAAAAAaU/8F72zNtEd9Q/s1600-h/RockMole2%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="RockMole2" border="0" height="272" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-V58MJI4HBiE/T4Od2oMwwzI/AAAAAAAAAaY/LjjLjAyrCu8/RockMole2_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="RockMole2" width="316" /></a></span></div><div align="justify"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; font-size: medium;">I had him cut out the pattern and pin it on the material & cut it out. (This was really quite fun to watch)</span></div><div align="justify"><br />

</span></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; font-size: medium;">Since this is a “Rock-N-Mole”, he needed the MOM tattoo, stud collar and Mohawk. I found the stud trim at JoAnn’s and we made the Mohawk from felt. I sprayed some adhesive on the felt so we could have both sides.</span></div><div align="justify"><br />
</div><div align="justify"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br />
</span></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; font-size: medium;">Then we took a dowel and cut it down, took the Dremmel tool and carved out the Drum Sticks. I did sew the “pattern” together, I told my son he could sew it together, I even got my older machine out for him (he was NOT going to be able to use one of newer ones, LOL) but he didn’t feel comfortable doing the sewing, so of course, MOM to the rescue, haha. Then you know, Dad had to help with the sanding/finishing of the Drum Sticks, so I guess this was really a “family” mole.</span></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif; font-size: medium;"><br />

<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">One of my goals for this year was to get ORGANIZED. I know it will be a daily/monthly challenge. When I think about the things I need to organize, I feel like everything is just a mess! But really, I just don’t seem to have the time to keep everything in the correct place. I don’t know what to call it, my hubby says “Lazy”, I say HaHa.</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">Anyway, I was feeling bad that hubby had to work on Saturday, so I thought I would surprise him and actually get something “small” done without telling him first.</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">Somehow, we end up sharing my make-up table, he sits there to shave his head and trim his beard. I think he also leaves a mess, but as you can tell, I do my own fair share. I mean how am I supposed to find anything?</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">OK, so here is the before (don’t judge me to harshly)</span><br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicyP1_F1Ozz-BWXg0VzH_xBKV1glfTBPIs6FTD1sGcJx2bxdosbLNffkiPlFgqjZaed8re4RUFPC1kE6NH8EFA7iR076QgLgCUgbcHJOJUrJ7CldTE1beRqDDab4pxWygO1Z21rh2Afek/s1600-h/MakeUp%252520Table1%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><img alt="MakeUp Table1" border="0" height="162" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-580u-fCAtNE/T2fxrMRHh2I/AAAAAAAAAV8/wxbsxeg1WHA/MakeUp%252520Table1_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="MakeUp Table1" width="244" /></span></a><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-fvuyBly1IDM/T2fxrzBgbGI/AAAAAAAAAWE/LRrwkNxJcK0/s1600-h/MakeUp2%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><img alt="MakeUp2" border="0" height="147" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/--PjPqBm57zs/T2fxsdzXoWI/AAAAAAAAAWM/ja1IMXWrVA0/MakeUp2_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="MakeUp2" width="244" /></span></a><br />

<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"></span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">I know it is HORRIBLE, 1st off, I took everything out of the drawers and threw away all of the old stuff & trash (how it ends up here, I don’t know).</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">I bought these drawer organizers @ TJ Maxx for 2.99/each – how can you beat that price and the square containers from Dollar Tree set of 3.</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"><br />
</span><br />
<a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-M64JLqmvKdI/T2fxuV8sTfI/AAAAAAAAAWk/Z47aTeWw8Go/s1600-h/MakeUp4%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><img alt="MakeUp4" border="0" height="158" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-UP4sGqC1_l4/T2fxulpAIgI/AAAAAAAAAWs/WTNc3qNzyBU/MakeUp4_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="MakeUp4" width="244" /></span></a><br />

<br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">Then I went back and put back the items that I kept. What a difference it makes.</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"><br />
</span><br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-GCAqFz9KIX8/T2fxwXT92zI/AAAAAAAAAXE/JLp4gbrEMyI/s1600-h/MakeUp6%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"><img alt="MakeUp6" border="0" height="146" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-Yy9ounxhV2s/T2fxxesOKSI/AAAAAAAAAXM/FP8VVf_amb0/MakeUp6_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="MakeUp6" width="244" /></span></a><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS';"></span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">And I know that once you put everything where it belongs, things look BETTER!</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfv3dGuU6HaScAJLl-5v4He2sot49HmVCqQFMTVJnW1I5g2YnBQAqxcRJH7NgIbUhnC8N2-9O2FRhUJ44VYOhIM-jhP3hU76gQ2sRrV9yNt0g3ot3QuC8omeR1B337r7duu2dsEp4gnMg/s1600-h/MakeUp7%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="MakeUp7" border="0" height="168" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Ri_Ej1Mu8IE/T2fxyU5JlYI/AAAAAAAAAXc/9TfbD8OKAZw/MakeUp7_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="MakeUp7" width="244" /></a></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">I’m going to TRY to keep this clean. I did clean out 1 drawer for Hubby to keep his “stuff” in. I think this will be a mutual effort.</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">What have you organized lately?</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"><br />

<span style="color: black; font-size: medium;"><br />
</span><br />
<a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-aIH6gdYVsdM/T3JfPVm1oyI/AAAAAAAAAZo/PY7G7S4J338/s1600-h/OrgChallenge-Teal%25255B4%25255D.png"><img alt="OrgChallenge-Teal" border="0" height="151" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNUKZ3iVoR5f1DboZlrRVNceFohN_k55606Akb1aGQWrr-7uGrNaSzEhZ1Tp0tmdfUO7gz6Fbowivtj_ITJ-NBKzn7kuhLojF0BQWNOiThDQzzrkvvNJK480k32trPVpDN3w7Rt1ISx3s/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="OrgChallenge-Teal" width="282" /></a><br />
<br />
<span style="color: black; font-size: medium;">In order to join this challenge, you had to have a blog, so this is where it all started. Well, the challenge was over in February, but</span><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: purple;"> <a href="http://networkedblogs.com/vGVxl" target="_blank">Laura - Organizing Junkie</a></span> has so many people join, it took her awhile to judge everyone.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: medium;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-size: medium;">The funny thing is I actually had a dream last night that she finally chose a winner, but when I got up there was any mention yet, but tonight there was.</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-size: medium;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-size: medium;">Guess what????? <strong><u>I GOT 3RD PLACE</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-size: medium;"><strong><u><br />
</u></strong></span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-size: medium;">I can’t believe it – I’m still in shock. Well, we had so much fun (haha) that we are actually going to do more rooms in our house and so you will be seeing more pictures of the De Cluttering throughout the year. I have had fun doing this blog so, I’m just going to keep it up. </span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-size: medium;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-size: medium;">I hope you like what you see and find.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: medium;"><br />

(You can call me cheap, I’m fine with that)</span></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-size: medium;">I was thinking the other day that I needed some more color in my office and since I just happened to be at Dollar Tree, I thought “Why Not.”</span></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-size: medium;">So here’s what I got:</span></div><div align="justify"><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-uZ4vPygrXEQ/T2_dizhcZuI/AAAAAAAAAYQ/4tP6Q976shc/s1600-h/Sunflower1%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Sunflower1" border="0" height="376" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-yjzYMxwrW-s/T2_djtT5xFI/AAAAAAAAAYY/kmHdX3C8BZE/Sunflower1_thumb%25255B5%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Sunflower1" width="557" /></a></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-size: medium;">You might have some of these items already, but I have my son’s faithful cat as my helper.</span></div><div align="justify"><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-MxGE3MMvWxE/T2_dkd3Zw9I/AAAAAAAAAYg/qDvYxA-vtPE/s1600-h/Sunflower2%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Sunflower2" border="0" height="364" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-VCV14uN7xqA/T2_dkzz8cvI/AAAAAAAAAYo/ERS2knYDBR0/Sunflower2_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Sunflower2" width="466" /></a></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-size: medium;">I pushed down 2 squares of the green Styrofoam into the bottom of the pail </span></div><div align="justify"><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-vGlNdqzT3WQ/T2_dmBa4GvI/AAAAAAAAAYw/i2KU3oWlPQs/s1600-h/Sunflower3%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Sunflower3" border="0" height="376" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-q-CQrvITvLo/T2_dmu-HuYI/AAAAAAAAAY4/FRxIVlgiBAQ/Sunflower3_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Sunflower3" width="546" /></a></div><span style="color: black; font-size: medium;">Then I put hot glue on the bottom of each stem and placed about the container. We are going to turn the room into a craft/office room this year and turn our small TV room into a guest room. So until that happens, I have been crafting on the dining room table. I tend to make a MESS whenever I start crafting. So the other day when I was at JoAnn’s I was looking through the remnant section and happen to find this “Tablecloth” material (I know there is a name for it but I can’t seem to remember right now, LOL). Well, everything was 1/2 off, oh yea! So I got this piece for a whopping $2.50. You can’t beat that, and when I’m finished with a project I can just pick it up and dump the trash in the trashcan.</span></div><div align="justify"><br />

<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">I wanted to make a wreath for Easter, but my crafting is still a work in progress. I saw this idea on </span><a href="http://debbie-doodlings.blogspot.com/2010/03/at-it-again-more-easter-egg-wreaths.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">Pinterest</span></a><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">, and I thought I could make this. I used a wreath form instead of cutting cardboard.</span><br />
<br />
<a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-1otzkv7K6Dg/T2fXgBzpOzI/AAAAAAAAATw/w1SfA5I0ALM/s1600-h/EasterWreath1%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"><img alt="EasterWreath1" border="0" height="152" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-2TbasoYiu8A/T2fXgjsC9_I/AAAAAAAAAT4/b-aK1-txxgo/EasterWreath1_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="EasterWreath1" width="244" /></span></a><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;"></span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">I probably should have used a smaller wreath form (now I know). I actually had to go back to the store and get some more eggs. I used a total of 4 bags of large eggs & 2 bags of small bags. I got them at Dollar Tree along with the rolls of ribbon. The pink material (flannel) I picked up @ JoAnn for $2.50/yd on sale.</span><br />

<span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">I think traced around the form, plus some extra to cover the back and sides of the form</span><br />

</div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">You know you have those times that you think, “I really should show you where you need to go”, that was what I was thinking last night as I explained to my son exactly how to get to UTA to take his SAT test that was scheduled for this morning. He needed to be there by 7:45 am. In hindsight, I probably should have written down the instructions for him, but after explaining the directions to him, he said OK……Forward to this morning, I heard him get up & leave (good, now I can go back to sleep, It’s my day off), but @ 8:20, he comes walking into my bedroom. Guess what – He COULDN’T find the college. Now, I’m thinking to myself, you should have followed your “GUT” feeling. We then discussed my directions AGAIN, and he says “I never saw that road”. Fine, get in the car & let’s see where you went wrong. Remember, I’m supposed to be sleeping, so now I get in the car with my PJ’s still on!!!!</span></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">When I made one of the turns, he says “Oh, I didn’t turn here”…..I said “Did you even listen to my directions?” I know what you thinking…..I should strangle him now, LOL. Well to make a long story short, he now knows how to get there for the next test and now I’m fully awake…time for donuts.</span></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">I decided since I’m up lets go by the house, I will get dressed and go to the movies….We saw John Carter – I thought it was pretty good, despite what the critics say….I mean it’s just a movie people, get real. We had his GF with us and I didn’t feel like going home to clean, so shopping we went. <img alt="Smile" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-smile" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-e-3bAfSi7BY/T1wcB5-3HEI/AAAAAAAAATU/G_H5e4iPNrg/wlEmoticon-smile%25255B2%25255D.png?imgmax=800" style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-top-style: none;" /></span></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">Needless to say, with the rain coming down, the house never got clean today, I finished a book and just chilled, the house can wait till tomorrow.</span></div><div align="justify"><span style="color: black; font-family: 'Comic Sans MS'; font-size: small;">What did you get done today? This post maybe a little long due to the rules of this project. I will be posting before/after pictures of our project. First off – Let me answer some of the questions that are required.</span><br>
<ul><li> <div align="justify"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: black;"><em>1. What space did you decide to organize and why? </em>We chose our Garage for a couple of reasons. First was that we could BARELY walk from the front to the back without falling over something. Second was my Hubby likes to do his own auto repair and he got a new car (he was in a wreck in December and his truck was totaled). It was a used car and he wants to fix it up.</span></span></div></li>
<li> <div align="justify"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: black;"><em>2. What steps did you take to ensure you completed the space within the 29 day timeline? </em>Hubby and I took a few vacation days so we could have a 3-day weekend for our project.</span></span></div></li>
<li> <div align="justify"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: black;"><em>3. What was the hardest part of the challenge for you and how did you overcome it?</em> I would have to say the amount of STUFF that had to be dealt with and the fact that we had rain that came in on our weekend off. </span></span></div></li>
<li> <div align="justify"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: black;"><em>4. What did you do with the “stuff” you were able to purge our of your newly organized space?</em> A lot of the “Stuff” was for the Pee Wee Football Association that we volunteer so we got a small storage building to hold all of the equipment that we use during the Football season. (Coolers, tents, chairs, storage tubs with uniforms, t-shirts etc) I made a lot of trips to Goodwill and 1 trip to a friends house with a dresser and clothes. We put some items by the curb for “Free” donations and threw out a lot of trash!!!!! We bought some plastic 55 Gallon drums to dump the MANY detergent containers that were full of oil.</span></span></div></li>
<li> <div align="justify"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: black;"><em>5. Tell me one of your proudest moments during this challenge?</em> The fact that Hubby was able to pull in his vehicle to work on it and now he is OBSESSED with keeping it clean. He keeps saying that he isn’t going to let it get dirty again.</span></span></div></li>
<li> <div align="justify"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: black;"><em>6. Explain any organizing “tools” you used to help you create additional space and to establish some limits and boundaries? </em>We bought the plastic drums to hold the extra oil (which will be picked up by the oil recycling company). We took a shelf unit that I wasn’t able to utilize and moved it by the back door to hold extra kitchen appliances, drinks and misc items. </span></span></div></li>
<li> <div align="justify"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="color: black;"><em>7. What is ONE piece of advice you’d give to someone else to encourage them on their organizational journey? </em>Take the 1st step – the outcome is such an accomplishment.</span></span></div></li>

<span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: 'Cherry Cream Soda'; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">Alright lovelies, are you ready for the greatest thing since GFC? Well then you need to check out Bloglovin'! What's Bloglovin' you ask? Well, only the greatest way to keep track of the blogs that you love. With the discontinuation of Google Friends Connect, I decided that I needed to find another way to keep up with all of my favorite blogs that are not hosted by blogger. I signed up for Linky Followers and I've had great success with gaining new followers, but I’m finding I don’t get any traffic to my site from Linky. I also do not enjoy reading my favorite blogs from there. I stumbled upon Bloglovin' and I am in love! It is very similar to Google Reader, in that you can see the beginning of the post and the first picture attached to the post. Plus, Bloglovin' automatically updates your posts, unlike Linky Followers, which you have to manually update each time you write a new post. I don't know about you, but I just don't have the time to do that every time. Another added bonus is there is a Bloglovin' application for IPhone and Android devices. Woohoo! Like I don't spend enough time reading blogs. Now it's a simple touch. Love it!</span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #666666; font-family: 'Cherry Cream Soda'; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br />

I had a Girls night of Pokeno and wanted to try something new.</span><br />
<br />
<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-z8gGt_Qf_rI/T0rdKFRMJSI/AAAAAAAAAK0/JXPsn9k-y-8/s1600-h/Dessert%252520Skewer.1%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Dessert Skewer.1" border="0" height="184" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-Njf3iAlmmmk/T0rdKVySfLI/AAAAAAAAAK8/xvF3pztPn4Y/Dessert%252520Skewer.1_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Dessert Skewer.1" width="244" /></a><br />
<span style="font-size: medium;">I started with a loaf of Angel Food Cake, Strawberries and some wooden skewers. I put 3 of each on each skewer and that seemed about the right amount.</span><br />
<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-K7_MXlBBlZ4/T0rdKy9BokI/AAAAAAAAALE/cneuP6gyfLI/s1600-h/Dessert%252520Skewer.3%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Dessert Skewer.3" border="0" height="184" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-6hl778-bd2M/T0rdLSVISYI/AAAAAAAAALM/hD-KAfMc3Dc/Dessert%252520Skewer.3_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Dessert Skewer.3" width="244" /></a><br />
<span style="font-size: medium;">I took some White Almond Bark and melted it, make sure to stir about every 10 sec after 1 min. (don’t ask I how I found this out – no the smoke alarm didn’t go off, haha)</span><br />
<a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-G89rTaBIg7Q/T0rdLnFNs8I/AAAAAAAAALU/CsYHrw5CCQ4/s1600-h/Dessert%252520Skewer.5%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Dessert Skewer.5" border="0" height="184" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-qyMSKTIapk0/T0rdMB0hNzI/AAAAAAAAALc/9jvXRdus85o/Dessert%252520Skewer.5_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Dessert Skewer.5" width="244" /></a><br />
<span style="font-size: medium;">Here is a neat trick, place a ziploc bag into a cup to hold your chocolate.</span><br />
<a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-9Ji8g61o9F4/T0rdMXT_8tI/AAAAAAAAALk/FqFdeiryd9Q/s1600-h/Dessert%252520Skewer.%25255B11%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Dessert Skewer." border="0" height="184" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEsnwxT8WxFunP8983v0eOzVafxqvuWr9nxbHYaiWcQKuGf_reCUxCPVmFCG9msJet3yEicBjBrx31N7KItq0gO3CSAHQx-5bGAss3U2FbptYWj8KatBk9wvEsQxnFylViWrGfVqvj9JM/?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Dessert Skewer." width="244" /></a><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-7zyQlAgOmOg/T0rdYaeWY7I/AAAAAAAAAL0/977Rb7_cys4/s1600-h/Dessert%252520Skewer.6%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img alt="Dessert Skewer.6" border="0" height="184" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-tW3qM-fjuzA/T0rdY2AIHDI/AAAAAAAAAL8/CzFlCayQ4w8/Dessert%252520Skewer.6_thumb.jpg?imgmax=800" style="background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;" title="Dessert Skewer.6" width="244" /></a><br />
<span style="font-size: medium;">See how easy this was – and NO mess – what a clever idea. Then I snipped off a corner and drizzled over the skewers.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: medium;">I just put them in the fridge for about 30 min to harden up.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: medium;">These were so good</span><br />
<span style="font-size: medium;">Have a great day – Michelle</span>Michellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09406245260599978396noreply@blogger.com2
